Last Monday we hosted a member only cocktail party at Copperworks Distilling Company near the waterfront in Downtown Seattle. It was a beautiful sunny night as people parked near The Seattle Great Wheel and made their way into one of Seattle’s best distilleries.
For the menu that evening we chose five whiskey cocktails: The old-fashioned, the Manhattan, the Kentucky Corpse Reviver, the Enchanted Field, and the Boulevardier. We had 16 partial bottles of bourbon and rye from our past monthly meetings. Members and their guest chose their cocktails and selected the whiskey they wanted featured in their drink. Then the three Collective founders mixed, shook, and garnished through the night.
The founder’s wives also made delicious food: sweet and spicy popcorn, fresh avocado salsa cups, Italian kababs, bread and truffle butter, and candied hazelnuts.
We are very thankful for our members, without them it would be impossible for us to run the Seattle Whiskey Collective.
A huge thanks to Jason Parker for opening up Copperworks to us for this event. He turned his beautiful tasting room into a perfect event space for us, and even gave people tours and free tastings of Copperworks gin and vodka. If you haven’t tried either of these yet, do it! They’re both delicious.
Thanks also to Charles Redding for his great photographs!
Thank you to all the members and their guests for coming out, we had a great time.
